Thinking about finally getting a PS3 now that the prices have come down so much.
Which model should I look for? Fat, Slim, or Super Slim? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

Well I found like one single affordable used, but it feels like a gamble.
fat will ylod the most, although whatever one you get will probably ylod eventually.

Super slim. if you get fat you may not able to play some newer games.

super slim is the most durable, but you can't mod it. i regret buying it, it was too cheap for a reason.
outdated slim is the best one, look up for the latest working firmware. avoid fat, it won't last a year for you.

slim with firmware 3.55 or lower or an already hacked one
Fat is very hard to find and the ones you can find are likely to break down but it has PS2 backwards compatibility and you can install Linux on it if you're into that kind of thing.
