After they failed to deliver on an unrealistic deadline that is (game had to be ready for Christmas sale).
JoWood then hired some Indians to make the add-on, it was shit.
Then they hired Spellbound, who had absolutely no experience doing open-world games for 4. It failed, Spellbound disbanded.
Then JoWood themselves disbanded and now PB has the rights to Gothic back.
