AC5 sucks though. Barely any aces, bad enemy AI, super heavy grind for planes, a plot that falls apart halfway through, and the worst writing/acting in the entire series. Seriously, I played AC6 first and thought the dialogue in it was bad, but AC5 is on a whole different level.

AC1 is meh. Not miserable, but it's ugly enough to make Jumping Flash's visuals look amazing.
AC2 is fantastic and is pretty much a straight upgrade of everything from AC1 and then some. Dunno if I'd go and say it's a perfect game, but anyone who might enjoy Ace Combat at all should play it.
haven't played enough of AC3 (JP or otherwise) to really comment on it (from what I've played, the plane handling feels kind of heavy compared to the rest)
Any Skycrawlers in here? I thought it was pretty good though I didn't like the special moves that put the enemy in your crosshairs. The story was cool though, if not a bit dependent on anime cliches.

It's defs worth buying, it's really fun, and looks great. Just make sure you have a classic controller, because the waggle controls aren't really that great.

5 and Zero can emulate well. Though the only thing I hate is the weird ground textures flickering a lot.
This may sound stupid since I don't know how emulating a game works but, how come certain emulators only use hardware or software instead of a mix?
for pcsx2, whenever I use software mode the game slows the fuck down (unless you have a really beefy PC) but hardware mode can run fine but with a lot of graphical glitches.
