Just a rough assumption of where they are, I couldn't judge the Desert accurately, it was incredibly huge and a chasm sat in between it and the Great Plateau, I did see a lake right by that edge of the Plateau and I'm almost fairly accurate on where Death Mountain is. Hyrule Castle should be there based on Death Mountain and the floating Island should be there based on the Castle.

While stories being passed down often are changed after so many years, it's safe to assume that the story is accurate, as Daphnes explains the flooding is due to Ganon as well. This matches up with the story and the fact that there would need to not be a hero in to combat him.
There is also a theory and a good one at that, that when Zelda sends the Hero of Time back into the past, this breaks the cycle of reincarnation for him, and doesn't allow a hero to be reincarnated when the time comes. This also explains why WW/PH and ST Link's are not reincarnated heroes but just people that got dragged into the situations, as it has been confirmed that WW/PH Link doesn't have the soul of the hero.

Master Sword being decrepit, & lack of hero's garb, idk it seems like this could be the story of a Link who doesn't get recognized as the "Hero" for one reason or another.
Sure, Hyrule does end up flooded but very little is known about the era without a hero, it's definitely a possible timeline slot.
I'm all for timeline convergence, though. I trust they can pull it off - it'd be some good fanservice, be hype as fuck, and also save the franchise from an inevitably convoluted web of horse shit.

Eh, for all we know the Great Sea finally drained out into the ocean proper. Original Zelda had an ocean in the lower-right corner of the map. No other Hyrule had access to the ocean like that.

Because this contradicts both the Goddesses will and Daphnes wish on the Triforce to forever imprison Hyrule beneath the waves.
Assuming that it was un-flooded, then we'd have many spires jettisoning up into the sky where the former water level once was. It's highly doubtful that Hyrule and a Triforce wish could be undone without the Triforce itself, which would be a heavy feat considering where the Triforce of Courage now lies.
While it is possible in a very forced way, it's highly unlikely despite the Koroks and the stone slab with the Rito on it. (This also has the Oocoo on it as well, which granted they exist in that timeline too I assume).

AoL is in the Failure Timeline. We also know ALttP Hyrule is connected to an ocean. It's the only way that Link has access to Holodrum, Labrynna, and the Wind Fish.
FSA Hyrule is also an Island and this takes place during the Child Timeline after TP.
It's safe to assume that Hyrule is a continent/large island (ie: Australia).
