How is it different? The fact that the only thing bethesda seem to be doing for the past decade is recycle. They have a written universe with an existing bible, they absolutely copy paste their game with minimal changes from Oblivion, they take a story from Blade Runner and the only really creative work is making a map.
You are right it is different, the choices you take in a 19 year old have more gameplay changing impact that in the one released not an year ago.

I have heard it remarked as one of the greatest licensed games and point-and-clicks games ever made. If either of those mean anything to you then do it. If you know nothing about the movie, can't imagine you haven't seen blade runner/read do androids dream of electric sheep, watch it first I guess.
