Is Grimoire Nier worth importing? It seems the Google Doc doesn't have pictures or anything which is disappointing. Also aren't bits of it not yet translated or translated from Chinese sources for some reason? It doesn't matter. It was developed at Platinum Games, by Platinum Games, and their house engine is readily capable of Windows packaging.
They've said a number of times that they develop all their games on PC (from Vanquish going forward, owing to the trainwreck they dealt with wrt Bayo's outsourced PS3 port) and then port them to the devkits for the final round of polish and optimization.
They've also said, a whole bunch, that the only reason a Platinum Game is a console exclusive is because it is up to the publisher in question what platforms the game is released on.
So the issue is simply "does Square Enix want to see Nier on PC"? Given the extremely low cost of porting (it would take Plat very little time since the engine is already PC-based) and Squeenix's non-aversion to PC releases, especially when they come cheap (such as multiplats or games built in an engine/framework that supports PC fully), it really comes down to:
Do they have some sort of financial arrangement with Sony that will keep Nier on PS4?
Sony didn't publish it, and the game isn't getting a lot of "Only on PS4" branding... But they DID showcase the game during, for instance, PlayStation Underground, and I think Squeenix is smart enough to see that Sony is going to provide some free marketing for this game as their own console's answer to Scalebound (simply because both are Plat).
I imagine it will hit PS4 and then a year or two down the line, when those sales have dried up, a PC port will come to capture more sales interest and potentially double-dip on PC/PS4 players who wanted it on PC but caved and grabbed it for PS4 instead.
Moral of the story is, it will very probably get a PC release, but it almost certainly won't be soon.

The difficulty settings in most games do nothing but make the battles take longer, though. Funnily enough, in the past decade, only The Last of Us seemed to do difficulty settings right.
In TLOU, the higher you set the difficulty, the more scarce supplies to build shit becomes. Less ammo, less molotovs, less anything. On Survival, you might find the supplies to make on molotov per level, or maybe a health kit. On Easy, you can make pretty much whatever you want in bulk.
Increasing enemy health and damage is just a tedium meter.

If this game were to go multi I'd rather they go with NX or Nintendo in general because from what I've seen in E3 only Sony and Nintendo care about preserving this industry. They make reasons for consumers to buy their consoles.
MS strategy is to make everyone who owns an xbox feel they have to take care of their wife's son (PC). If you enjoy the feeling of being a loser buy the MS platform, and then try to bring down Playstation fans to that level of feel by sabotaging every game with pc when shitposts.

Two things:
1. From a game design and user experience, Drakengards 1-3 suck and Nier is the only passable thing that Yoko Taro has ever directed. Taro is excused from receiving blame for D2 since he didn't direct it though.
2. Scalebound has Kamiya on it, who is known for quality works like Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Bayonetta. In recent times, it's been perceived that if Kamiya is not on it, it won't be quality (i.e. Legend of Korra, TMNT games.)
So, because Kamiya has a legacy of good action games under his belt, we expect more from him and Scalebound. We do not have the same standards for Taro (with many people including myself thanking Jesus that he not only gets to make another game, but actually has a competent team behind him now.) The tables could turn between Scalebound and Nier 2, but we'll have to wait for release.
