The seed only contains the title IDs, which, without knowing anything, are easy enough to guess, and as the game is already pre-loadable on the Japanese eShop, it's technically public knowledge anyway.
The key is the important part, and it's not something you can just crack. Some one with both a review code and a hacked 3DS would have to willfully dump it knowing they're leaking the game.

From what I am beginning to understand, saving isn't the real issue or the cause of the crash. Some people seemed to frame it that way but it isn't. There is something else that causes the game to crash, and nobody really knows what it is.

You pick up the grey clusters of hexagons and place them on the hex grid. They're like tetris peices, you can rotate them. They can't overlap with a black piece, though.
When you're done placing all the pieces, you look at the numbers on the edge of the grid. If you follow the direction of the arrows and count how many grey pieces you come across, it needs to add up to the number on the edge. Look at the finished example in the top right to see how the numbers work.
