It is possible to have fun the wrong way.
Say, someone whose idea of fun is to play TF2 as a sniper, getting kills without a fight but being very useless for their team, as is the case with most snipers.
It's going to make the game a little less fun for everyone, because fighting a sniper from far away is impossible so it's just a game of "if your head is clicked you're dead", fighting a sniper close up is trivial and unsatisfying, and the most the sniper is going to do for their own team is killsteal.

How is OW not a fast-paced FPS? If we compare it to other popular shooters such as Counter Strike and even TF2 it is clearly very fast paced.
The problem with Overwatch is that it's competitive from the getgo because of how objective focused it is.
In TF2 I remember often just joining some server to clown around as engineer or spy for half an hour and do my thing

Counter-Strike is a team-based objective-based game. It isn't a problem, it's just what the game is.
I sorta see what you mean about feeling like you need to tryhard all the time since every game is 'competitive'. Once Competitive Mode drops, Quick Play will probably be regarded in the same way as casual CS:GO modes, where you can dick around as much as you like without anyone really caring.

The best way to kill hanzo is too bait him into using his scattershot at mid to long range making it easier for you to evade his shot. Also predicting when he is making his shot to use blink for higher chance of evading. After he has wasted his scattershot you move into close/mid range and continue to blink left/right right when you anticipate the next arrow to launch at you. Aim at his head and he is dead within 2-4 seconds
Also just space to jump around, it makes it much harder for the hanzo to hit you.
