According to the Dev it'll be a stealth game with each rival being harder than the prior weeks. Which means it'll be similar to the Nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor where the starting captains can be killed in interesting and fun ways but once you reach the Warlords you can only kill them in a specific manner because they have immunity to stealth kills, ranged attacks, is a monster hunter, ect.
Of course at least Shadow of Mordor has a shit ton of action, Yandere will be grinding boring Assassin Creed style chores to active a way to kill a rival.
People only like it now because its an incomplete sandbox without objectives where you kill anime girls. Basically Let's Play fodder.

It's a nice concept on paper, but I guarantee you'll lose interest in it quickly after a few hours of play. Only reasons why people enjoy it so far are a) YouTubers know people eat this shit up so they makes tons of videos on it, and b) still in development so people pass off its emptiness as still in development.

Initially I liked the concept of the game, but the features are becoming more narrow than wide, and without any random generation I feel like it'll get boring very easily. He doesn't actually have to read all these emails, and I've always wondered why he doesn't just set up a separate email for bug reports, and figure out a system that maybe sorts emails by specific keywords or log files that would help him pick out crashes and bugs, a program like that must exist to help developers do these things, no?

First, Finish you goddamn base game before adding all this new shit to it. Every single goddamn video you make is "this is something new I'm adding" which is simply prolonging the release of your game. Simply put, you aren't showing any progress to your game, you just think you are. Second, At this point, stop listening to ideas. To add to the email thing, no one and I mean NO ONE is gonna give you some magical idea for your game to make it amazing, that shit has to come to you otherwise it isn't your game anymore. This is where having a team comes in handy, you can bounce back and forth ideas from one another and make your game a best as it can be.

One of the main "rules" I had while making this setting was to make it as alien, unearthly, and unfamiliar as possible, while still making it easy to empathize and understand the different peoples and physics of the world. I was frustrated with pretty much every fantasy setting being human, human (tall and different ears), human (short), and human (green or dark grey), Tolkien has been really overdone at this point.
If I want to put a human in, it would only be in the sense of a looming existential horror by finding a long dead human skeleton far, far away from all civilization and life.

The very idea of a "foreign setting" concept would works best in theory if it doesn't just exclude humans but every animal, and actually includes foreign being with no correlation to anything to our world, their movement and animation being sometimes unexpected or weird.
