The way they work in the studio is the particular reason. You get some real magic happening when everyone decides to work on one thing. But you also see a game wither and die real fast when pretty much everyone in the studio is like, "nah fuck that I'd rather work on something else". TF2 became that. No. Overwatch's system is that every hero has shit matchups except against their counter where you basically cannot lose. In TF2 each class has an enemy they're weak against and one they're strong against and then every other matchup is 50/50 in an ideal scenario.

It is dumb, it's one of the main complaints about overwatch the strategy is incredibly shallow and comes down to who counter picks faster.
Also the rule still applies for medic, while you lose every fight when you don't have uber you win every fight when you do so it still works out.

Demo at a high level is the most unforgiving class to play. So much of the game revolves around him and having a bad demo will doom your team 9 times out of 10. He is hard to learn having no direct means of damage, has to have better accuracy than soldiers and scouts having to snipe with pills and stickies, has the most difficult jumps, has the longest reloads, and cannot afford to die ever. If you need proof of this go watch the recent ronin vs froyo game where muma won the game for his team by just dying less and denying RONIN from taking ground for free.

The characters in Overwatch move so slowly that if Spy were in it he would've effortlessly backstabbed a few of them as they were scurrying around unaware of his presence. The Spy there just fucked up before he missed the backstab and then desperately tried to make up for it.
It's shameful to say, but I've been in that Spy's position before where I had missed a backstab like that. What you're supposed to do when that happens is get the fuck out of there and try again.
There is a HUGE difference of speed in TF2 compared to Overwatch. Everybody in Overwatch really does run at the same speed as the Heavy.

You'd be surprised, pyros kill scouts regularly all the way up to plat. For a decent pyro all it takes is one fire particle or airblast to decide the fight. This actually probably has to do with the fact pyros flame range fluctuates constantly due to a bug and there's no way to tell where the hitboxes actually are.

I don't think we're getting a "Team Fortress 3" anytime soon, I think we're more likely to get a port of TF2 on the Source 2 engine. It'll be like Counter Strike Source is to Counter Strike 1.6, a step-up in graphics, but the game is going to be different as I'm sure every single little tiny nuance of Team Fortress 2 isn't going to be translated correctly into "Team Fortress 2 Source2/Vulkan Edition." The general idea is that the comics have moved past anything in the games, so normal TF2 gameplay is set in the mid-sixties and early seventies, the latter being when MvM takes place.

Everyone gets to the point at the same time, but because of size it feels like some characters move slower.
Given the circumstances of the game, they'd have to change a lot if they rebalanced the speeds. It works in TF2 since you generally have bigger team sizes and you can have engineers with teleporters to get Heavies and shit to the front lines, in Overwatch you have smaller teams which become even smaller if you sacrifice one to have a teleporter, and said teleporter can only be built after a period of time and lasts only for 6 people going through it before it dies.

One interesting Engineer tactic I figured out recently for ctf_turbine is to build a sentry just inside the front door, close enough that I can hide behind the sentry but still be close enough to the door to open it.
That way, I can have the sentry covering an area that would usually be too open to be safe for a sentry, but by moving back and forth I can close and open the door in front of the sentry.
Only weakness is that spies kept on coming for me and my team would do nothing about it despite the fact that they would always come through intel room disguised as a sniper or a pyro.
Are there other maps that have doors that would allow me to use a similar tactic?

I hated the comics and tf2 world building. I liked it when the meet the shorts were all you got or needed as they were "non canon" comedy.
