The 960 and 970 are desktops cards nothing to do with laptops.
As of now only a gayming laptop at around 1.5k+ will give you decent performance.
GTX 1080M is coming too

8GB of RAM minimum, 16 preferable but not required. Saves you the hassle of upgrading later. 4GB doesn't really cut it for games more.
6th gen i7 is mandatory. Even that isn't enough because it's a mobile processor, not a desktop processor, so you're barely going to get 2.6GHz out of it. Enjoy your shitty slow games and computer.

Difference between a 960M and 970M is negligible. Just remember that you're getting the M variants of cards. Don't be fooled by a 960 benchmark - you've got the 960M in a laptop.
