Got a copy of pic related, found my dad's old ps2 and some games. I never played final fantasy before, I have a choice between 10, 12, 7, 8, 9, 6, or 4. I'm thinking about starting with pic related since the graphics aren't too bad and it's voice acted. Is it a bad call? If so which one should I start with? Just seems like too many decisions to make one for me.

Ideally, you'd start with 7. If you can't handle the PS1 games, go ahead and start with 10.

I started 8 a while ago,I couldn't continue, nothing really dragged me in.
I got to the point where I finished the ceremony and didn't feel it, I started playing xenogears and pokemon platimun instead.
I might go back though I'm feeling that itch now

He has a lot of systems i found in the closet. SNES, NES, Sega genesis, n64, and maybe a couple others. There's even final fantasy 1 but i haven't seen if it works yet, I just want to play them on the original system instead of downloading them
I hope you like ffx. It's one of my favorite final fantasies and it is honestly really fucking good. Some things will piss you off, but I hope you aren't one of those people who say tidus is so annoying and the games "linear"
