Because to what I'd guess is the majority, MH is, beside having good SP content, a multiplayer game and communicating with Japs without knowing moonrunes isn't exactly easy. How people like you don't understand this I'll never know and that's not to mention other complications like needing to have CFW or a nip 3DS. Then there's people that do like the idle chatter of NPCs or what little story there is, and those certainly aren't translated.
There are many reasons to have already played X but there are a lot of reasons to not have done so as well.

I am so torn on what weapon to use in Generations. I mained GS in frontier (didnt play it too much though), lance in Tri. Lance in 3u, where I did every single mission solo. Lance in 4u, but changed it to HH mid hr guild. Then to HBG in late g-rank.
I do love HH, but it's not as fun solo, becuase the damage is low, and cutting tails will be a pain. HBG have the same problem with tails, and in the earlier games, it would eat up your zenny.
I always had a backup SA, while the weapon is awesome, it get's a bit one-note after a while, in my opinion. Never got into CB, but it looks fun. Hammer, LS, IG isnt my kind of weapon, either too flashy, or Ill rather use my HH. Sns is a really fun weapon to use, and actually good in 4u, and from what Ive seen, best weapon in Gen, but I dunno. DB seems cool to, but never really used it. I feel lance make me somewhat lazy, it's too comforting always having a huge shield, and Ill try to avoid using it in Gen. As for GL, I would always prefer Lance instead

March is just the end of a fiscal year in Japan. MHX was supposed to sell 2.5 million before March 2016 but it came out in November 2015. Major title one there is RE7 and that comes out in January and major title 2 is DR4 and will come out holiday 2016.Also March to June-ish is the time when Sony hardware and software sells the best in Japan. You can port it, most likely. Given that it stores the save data as extradata, you can extract it and inject it into the US version. MH4U used this same method, and it worked fine.

Aerial or adept
Aerial trades the super pound for a super uppercut and has a double hit for jumps.
Adept gets the cool adept attacks however it loses the uppercut and can't do the infinite combo.

So those of you that pirated MHX...
..Do monsters area hop as much as Narga does in the demo? If I don't constantly flash or use the paralyze it when it gets tired it area hops at least 4 fucking times. Exhausted -> Go to eat -> Go to new area -> Exhausted -> Go to eat, etc. Granted I was using hammer so the constant exhaustion was expected but wow.
Also I noticed Narga sleeps off screen so you can't even get a wake up hit on it if you didn't sleep it yourself.

AED and Super AED are the same button, so I dont see how you could get one without being able to find the other.
Also shield charge is based on the number of phials you put into it, so generally best to always put the full 5 in.

On the upside, as long as you don't lose your red charge, you can shield thrust -> XA to recharge your shield charge without losing it or going back to yellow.

CB was pretty broken back in 4U, so they've just tweaked its mechanics to make it a bit more fair.
If your shield is yellow, you still get phial explosions when guarding (not just guard pointing this time, either) but they're only half as strong as normal phials, same with the shield thrust. Plus it gives you natural Guard +1.
Red just gives a boost to axe attacks and phial attacks and makes your guard and shield phials normal strength, it's just a bit more difficult to get to. Also, guarding with a red shield no longer depletes sharpness.

Now setting up the big moves require more effort. On the other hand you can use Aerial or Bushido to get your axe swings in and at the same time using your phials. Shame the Arts kind of suck though, Striker losing the shield thrust is way too shitty imo.
