For a series fanservice game, the character interactions were really weak. You've got all these loved side characters together for the first time, and virtually all of the dialogue just involves the handful of leads. N3DS version has a consistent framerate from what I've seen, though it suffers quite a bit from pop in enemies when the mission cranks it up too much.
It's one of those cases where fun trumps graphics, since it is still the same game people fell in love with on the Wii U, but better in just about every way, in terms of gameplay and features.
