I've played that part twice now, and I was exploring the kitchen with Pete, paying no attention to Andre whatsoever, so when he disappeared, my excitement shot through the roof. I as the player in a horror game had failed to keep an eye on my companion and now he was missing. I was so fucking hyped to play it again, glued to Andre's back, and as soon as I bumped against that invisible fucking wall, I quit the game. Talk about wasted potential.
when will this be available for non PS+? i normally don't mind paying for it but i don't use my PS4 much anymore and the "free" game selection is always garbage.

Resident Evil was never about psychological horror though, that's always been considered Silent Hill's thing. Resident Evil has always been about biological horror, something with substance, but something you have a chance to fight back with. All this was stated by Mikami ages ago.

This is not absolute proof that the room is accessible (or at least that it is meant to be accessed). It is interesting that the room exists, but they could have intended for it to be accessible at one point during development, then scrapped it for whatever reason. It was obviously crucial that the demo drop during e3, so they may have run out of time or something.
The door not appearing is a glitch and that room may not be part of solving the puzzle. Even if it is, trying to recreate a glitch isn't progressing towards a legitimate solution for the game.

The demo prompts you to create a save file when it starts yet it doesn't seem to do anything with it. There's no autosave, no option to load a saved file, no checkpoints. So what's on the save file? Does the game save other info we don't know, like the different endings we get every time we finish it? Maybe even things like the ghosts that are triggered randomly? Do you think having a save file with certain conditions met will trigger something specific on a new playthrough?

With the discovery of the room behind the boarded up door on the 3rd floor, I'm convinced the strange markings in the phone room that you can only see when shadowed are in fact designs for a hidden door. If it were a door, it would open up directly into the extra room.
