You realize their last long running and popular series, Kenka Banchou, jumped from PSP/Vita to 3DS because they saw more potential in it. If the DR team sees more potential in NX than PS4, it'd be no surprise if they made the jump.
I hope NX becomes viable so third party keep their ips on consoles even if multiplat.
