The first two were in it, but they didn't have nearly the same level of polish. The ones in the trailer have a really good weight to their movement plus better particle effects.
It's probably just because it's been a while, but I don't remember any bosses doing camera transitions in the middle of the fight. Do you remember which boss/bosses had it? I know the Hook/Wendy fight could transition to a sidescroller, but that was a normal part of the level.

This is the sequel to NieR that I never even thought possible. I had my doubts at first but goddamn Yoko Taro nailed it. It's evidently not a perfect game but by god it's the sequel I'd hoped for.

Disappointed how, you fucking faggot? Had you played the first Nier, you'd see how much of a step up this is in terms of combat. The first game's combat was barley a consideration, and totally mindless. Not the reason that anybody loved or cared about the game.
I would have accepted the first game's combat again if the sequel had brought with it everything else. But now it's looking like it has the music, the designs, the weirdness, AND better combat.

To all the Platinum fanboys complaining by the difficulty. 1.) It is on God mode and is probably on easy difficulty in the fight. 2.) Compare the gameplay to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MZ8UU_9dG8 Nier was a clunky ass hack and slash game with light RPG mechanics. The star of the game was the music and the writing. Most of the people excited for Automata are the people awaiting a sequel for Nier. Not another standard Platinum game. I'm fine with it having the same Platinum style of gameplay, because Taro finally has a game that complements his writing and complements the soundtrack with the first game. I'm excited for this game simply because Taro finally can make a good game with a great story and soundtrack instead of a game with middling combat.
