Adding onto this, Fortran came first in 1989 and Grand Dad 7 was one amongst many bootlegs that directly ripped the sprite and changed it to fit their game, which interestingly wasn't the first time said bootleggers had done that. Mario IV had the very same sprite in it, and it came out in 1991. I'm not even sure of the exact year of release for Grand Dad 7, but it really doesn't exactly matter.

I had a similar case but with a bootleg Age of Empires 2.
It was actually some kind of alpha or beta AoE2 with the Joanne of Arc campaign and with AoE1 units as placeholders almost everywhere. Galleons were AoE1 triremes, trebuchets packed into AoE1 relic carts and battering rams reverted to AoE1 cavalry when attacking, for some examples. There may have been a few mechanics that didn't show up in the finished game, thinking about it.

From what I can see, the maps aren't the same. Doesn't even look like its based off any of the ingame maps.
Most of the heroes have the same model, but the Widowmaker, and Winston are completel rip offs, nothing is changed.
Seems to be they got all their abilities right, just looks like shit.
Game also looks like shit too, gunplay seems glitchy, and healthbars remain after the player dies.
I think its some shitty half life mod they are running, and just quickly copied the models over.

Among other things, he tosses in his twist on Eastern philosophy (yawn), a phallic object/lingam with a pen gun inside (holy complicated multiple metaphors, Dr. Freud!), Madonna (again?), a priest disguise (call in the masks), an antipode governed by 43 (snort), a portrait of Putin (*sigh*), and Pokemon (oĐ¹!). It's just too much.

They work, they're actually the best things you can buy because they're just the game with mods that haven't been uploaded anywhere.
The most impressive ones i have played are the GTA:SA ones for the PS2. They managed to mod the ps2 verison and get it running on non-softmodded consoles. The actual mods they use vary, some are just texture packs and some are almost more definitive than the actual game. There was one ps2 gta bootleg that had a cheat engine, would let you spawn anywhere on the map (including top of buildings), and had some really cool features like insta-stop for cars and turbo mode that would crash the ps2 if you went to fast. The only thing that threw me off about it was that they removed the soundtrack and replaced it with linkin park/papa roach/lil jon and a bunch of foreign rap.

You summoned your monsters using a phone, the starters included what was essentially a armadillo standing upright, and enemies would constantly scream fuck and shit when you beat them.
