I found something interesting while messing around in the demo.
Physics objects can not be pushed into the starting room. They glitch out immediately after you go through the door and become impossible to interact with. Oddly disappearing when you enter the room and reappearing if you are standing outside the room looking in.
If I had to guess I would say this is a result of the developers not wanting players to push physics objects down the hole behind the secret passage.
I tried to do exactly that with both the baby doll and a crate only for them to glitch out once they entered the VHS room.
So pushing shit down that hole is apparently not an option. Though I still feel like we're supposed to do something with that baby doll. Pushing it down the hole just seemed like it might do something.

I can tell you none of the people responsible in crafting the demo agreed with what Capcom did.
We told them people will be pissed and find out. You can't release an unwinnable demo and wait days to release an ending and pretend it didn't happen.
