It has some interesting ideas that weren't executed well at all. Some of the gameplay is neat but the whole talenting system is retarded and some of the characters are really badly designed.
I think it may have had a chance if it launched F2P. It would have gotten a lot more traction being free with its high production values and served as a very strong counterpoint to overwatch where as right now its just failing laughably to compete with it even thought they're very different games.

Or you can do a challenge like, beat one fuckjng level of single player to unlock someone specifically, which 5 characters can be unlocked by, or play a certain character class only 5 times, to unlock another five, leaving only a select few that actually require any amount of grinding. I've played both. I didn't buy either, but I had a lot more fun with Overwatch, and I'd be a lot more inclined to buy it. Drawing direct comparisons with Overwatch didn't do Battleborn any favors, and if anything they should have tried as hard as possible to distance it from Overwatch so as not to create a false set of expectations.
