Literally none of the other BF games have been an accurate depiction of their time period in any way. Modern day BF has foot soldiers flying around attack helicopters, slinging around weapons that never got used in combat with attachments that never got used either.
Every single WW2 game has incorporated weapons that never existed at the time, or only existed in extremely limited qualities - I'm talking about the Sturmgewehr. Yet I don't see you complaining that a WW2 game has assault rifles.
These are all weapons that existed, technically, at the time. I don't know why you expected it to be all standard service weapons, used in similar roles to real life, because none of the other games have been like that, not even remotely.
It still has to be Battlefield, and they still have to provide gameplay similar to the rest of the games, or their core fanbase (i.e: Not you) will fuck off. Understand?
