I've tossed $4 at entire games that have occupied less of my time and gave me fewer thrills.
So prowler is like playing Dan Hibiki.
Also tested out all 4 styles of Great Sword.
First one is basic shit that gives you two skills.
2nd style is 3 skills where the 3rd is a powerful dodge.
Not sure of what the trade off is?
3rd style lets you jump but removes your ability to charge which is a horrible god damn trade off.
The last is great.
You get one skill but if you dodge an attack you turn into sanic and or counter.
Scientifically accurate raptor is your basic raptor more or less with a tail spring gimmick.
Owl/Moth is neat but moderately annoying because not one but two status effects and flying.
Had Arial style for it so it did kind of help honestly but I'd still rather of had a charge.
Nargacuga and Nargacuga.
It has been about 6 months since I've touch MH4U but the dirt in this demo is violent.
Every roll, ever strike is just a cloud of dirt.
I'll probs test out 1 different weapon every day.
Still a fun game.

Striker Style lets you overcharge with no downgrade of damage, but you can't do Smash Charges.
Aerial Style isn't that bad, actually. If you roll into a monster's physical attack, like Adept, you'll jump off the attack and you can retaliate with an aerial attack. With Greatsword, the moment you jump, you start charging really fast, and by the time you hit the ground again you've done a full charge attack. It does a little less damage than a ground-based charge attack but it's faster and requires less prep time and prediction, so it's good for people that like the hit-and-run but have difficulty with the sheer charge time.

When a monster is asleep, the attack that wakes it up does 2x damage.
This means that the one in your party with the strongest single hit (usually being a lv3 great sword charge) should be the one that wakes it up.
GS lv 3 > hammer's charged slam > Charge's blades downswing from the ultimate phial burst thing > everything else

Can't AED from a GP now. Can't do anything from a GP now for that matter, since GP'ing now continues the morph animation unless you suffer a knockback from the blocked attack.
Blocking with a shield boost now releases a phial blast, like GPing in 4U, and with adept style you have "just guard", which is a super GP that can only be done from idle stance by hitting R just before the monster hits you.
Just guard can actually be followed up with an attack, unlike regular GPs. You can do an instant double slash, a shield thrust or an axe morph out of it.

Forgot to mention, just guard is exclusive to adept style.
Also you have to do the shield boost from the axe mode, otherwise it applies a yellow buff, which is shit and should never be done. Adept style ditches the yellow buff entirely, so it's objectively the best style for CB.
Oh and I mixed up some things. Just guard doesn't have the axe morph follow up, instead it instantly charges all your available phials into the red shield boost.
