Skyrim will always be remembered as the better open world game. Isn't it obvious? You can't compared a multiplatform AAA game to a console exc. game that a few people will play.
Skyrim rode the LoTR movie fad wave to get like 10+ million sales from normalfags and pseudo-nerds, TES fans probably make up 10% of those sales at most. Zelda, if we're gauging it with Splatoon-like optimism in mind, will be lucky to hit five million million on Wii U/NX combined, the series has nosedived into irrelevance.
So naturally Skyrim will be remembered and praised far more than BoTW.

I think Skyrim will be somewhat above Zelda, but only because Bethesda has a lot more experience making these kinds of games where this is a first for Nintendo and the Zelda franchise.
If they continue along with this style for future games, I'm certain they will make some arguably better titles.

Skyrim was pretty awful to me. I really don't get Bethesda games at all. That said I liked it more than oblivion or fallout 3 and nv. haven't played 4.

They literally said they removed most towns and npc's for the demo version to prevent early spoilers. This idea of it being "empty" is null at the moment. The actual trailer shows some towns and some npc's in the bg too.

Actually, if you press the dodge/jump button at the correct moment, it'll do the slow motion sequence.

Again, each of them have different durability limits, and I'm sure different effects as well. We saw you can use Skeleton arms, tree branches, torches, swords, clubs, bows, bombs, pots, anything that's metal (using the magnet power), claymores, two handed swords, axes, spears, even the firerod is making a comeback. And that's all in the demo. In the trailer, there's a unique curved sword that's obtainable, I'm sure you could get a hookshot (or an equivalent) and a boomerang.

I really don't think this game is actively trying to be realistic in any way. You can fucking snowboard on a sheild and even fight a living rock golem.
