They always just stand around waiting to be moidered.
Someone was talking about this in the spiderman thread; they said you could have him travel between skyscrapers by jumping through the windows with his shield and then sprinting to the other side at 60mph and jumping out again.
His shield also stops fall damage, as seen in the movies. Seems like it could work for an open-world Arkham City style game
