Why does Microsoft keep paying for Dead Rising exclusivity?
Don't get me wrong I like the Dead Rising games but I don't see Dead Rising 4 as a system seller, why not pay for other franchises like Devil May Cry V that would turn more heads

The only reason it existed in the first place is that after Capcom management got wind of Inafune bloating his budgets to keep games in development, they were threatening to shut them down because they had no money to finish DR and Lost Planet in 2005 (And Capcom had just come off losing a shitload of money on Clover studio). Inafune was scheduled to go to MS for a developer meeting on the 360 next week. Pulled Peter Moore and Shane Kim into a room and showed a demo of Dead Rising. MS called Capcom and said they would fund the completion of the engine (MT Framework) and even send engineers to help if they got DR as a full exclusive and Lost Planet as a timed exclusive. And DR was a huge success (360 in 2006 really had a godlike year)
DR3, Capcom was also out of cash and MS bailed it out for exclusivity. Considering the state of Capcom at the minute being in the shit again. The same thing is happening here.
