Superior in every single way.
There's lots of game experiences I'll never re-experience, like Alien vs Predator 2 online play. But at least WoW still exists even if it's a totally different game now.
I just hope Legion is at least something I can enjoy putting time into, I liked leveling in WoD but the endgame was trash. Playing dress up might be fun.
Actually I did, by leveling in Desolace, a zone I avoided in retail vanilla(aside from the scarlet monestary quest).
On a vanilla private server with 10,000 players, leveling in Desolace is a must. Less competition by allies, less ganking by the enemy. Same with the hinterlands.
Theres always THAT ONE ZONE people avoided when they played, get on a private server, go do that zone.
Unless that zone is Ashenvale, because fuck ashenvale.

By the time I was 30 I had points randomly distributed between trees. Wasn't until 50 I learned to put them all in one tree

I remember almost everybody in the server wouldn't accept me to groups until TBC because I'd offer to tank without knowing what tanking means and I'd always wipe the group on the first pull while wearing fucking white cloth robes.

When I first started playing I didn't realize you could turn on additional action bars. So I got strategic on which to put on the 1-10 bar.

It was just that the boss had no rage mechanic, it wasn't meant to take that long.
Also, apparently they removed most of the grind to squeeze the last few buck out of the game since it's close to on its last leg.
