I think they should make legendaries like in Pokemon Red and Blue. They aren't plot relevant. You don't even know they exist until you find them. You have to go out of your way and find them.

Like, when a Deoxys changes form you can at least tell it looks it came from the same creature. When [I have no idea what it's called] changes form they look like different pokemon. The 1% looks it belongs in the Solosis evolutionary tree for example, it has nothing to do with the 10% dog looking thing that looks kinda like a shiny Houndoom. 100% just looks straight up Digimon.

While I was playing Gen 4, I sorta felt like this would be my last Pokemon game. I was just getting bored with it, you know? So I skipped the entirety of gen 5, which ended up taking a while with the whole Black/White 2 thing.
Decided to give Pokemon another shot with Gen 6. I couldn't finish it, I couldn't give enough of a damn.
I'm not saying it's bad or anything. Pokemon has really evolved from the start, I think it's a great Pokemon game. I like the direction it's taking with a more involved plot and the fact everything is 3D. It's just that I guess I grew out of Pokemon or something, I just got bored of it and never played it again.

Anyway, what most people don't seem to get is that due to technological limitations back in the 90's, Pokemon designs had to be simple and not too busy. As the technology got better, so did the sprites and their designs. That's why people who can't take off their nostalgia goggles say the newer ones are, "overdesigned." Whoever says that is a retard.
The concept of Pokemon is the same now as it has always been: take a real world item or animal and cartoonize it. Liking or disliking a design is purely subjective, no one gen is better than the other.
