It didn't even occur to me, but I replayed Digimon World 1-4 last summer, as well as playing the Re:Digitized and 4 for the first time. I didn't set out to replay them as a series it just happened.
This summer I'm replaying 3-6 and Network Transmission and playng 1 and 2 for the first time.
Summer makes me nostalgic I guess. Maybe I miss summer vacation or something. Either way its a great time.

The buster is god tier in this game if you ignore rapid. You can reach fully charged buster in like half a second and it does 80 damage.
It was pretty much broken by the time I fought Swordman. The only downside is trying to fight enemies with auras.

Didn't use Air Hockey, Sensor, Varsword, Arena Grabs, Gels, Fast/Full Custom, Invis or attack+ chips. My folders were also alphabet soup.
I know I liked Vulcan and Meteors though and I over relied on Navi chips and Style/Soul Unison/BeastOver/DarkChips

That's pretty much it. After defeating an NPC during the story mission you can challenge them while walking around. They're Navi's strength would be tied to checkpoints in the game so you'd always fight Gutsman vanilla initially, or Dex will tell you to wait until he's finished customizing. Then later you could fight Gutsman V2 and so on until the end of the game.

I had MusicMan who was a Rock-n-Roll Break Navi who had two big ass amps you had to destroy to neuter him.
I had RocketMan which was really cool IMO because he'd travel through the field forwards and backwards and he'd use his thruster as a Heat Arm.
By far my most popular one was Nori.EXE. She had a construction worker motif and a big wrench for an arm, like ProtoMan's sword. Her signature attack was a unique one called Wrench Rodeo where she would swing around Mega Man, doing one hit for each panel around him. She'd always start on the panel Mega Man is facing and move clockwise, but later versions would move in whichever direction would do more damage. Therefore, megaman could recuse damage by staying on the rear cormers or by blocking her with Obstacles. She'd be a very technical navi, trying to break the area to limit your space to maximize damage and she'd have the ability to summon Metaurs to assist her. She'd also have chips like Drill Arm and Reflector.
I submitted her to the Undersquare EXE7 project but it fell through and they stopped hosting the forum, so I lost the only existing art of her.
Her Net-Op's name was Constance(/Irene) Walker, for Construction/Iron Worker.Sorry for making you read this autistic nostalgic nonsense.

I made up a personalited WaveMan.exe
He was a Navi who was in training and in use of features that took advantage of wireless and wifi to access different parts of the net, even remote cpus of appliances without having to jack in physically. The weakness of this was that it required strong and direct connections; if he was to ever skive to another CPU and that connection was cut the netop would have to manually access that CPU just to get him back.
His netop was a surfer girl who also was a military brat by the name of Marina; made them come from either Jawaii or Ameroupe.I wanted to play off of "surfing the net" in their themes
His personality would be more lax than SearchMan.exe; imagine Dante from Devil May Cry with a bit of Alex's seriousness from Street Fighter.
In battle, WaveMan would control space; he would have access to downgraded Jelly virus wave attacks that were a lot like Met Shockwaves, but he could also fire out horizontals that also took up 2 verticals. His ultimate would see him do a wave attack not unlike Bass's Buster Rake, but way more telegraphed and easier to dodge. If he were to ever be cornered by panel destroying he could also perform automatic downgraded Fountain like attacks that add more waves to rush at Megaman.

Anyone else ever get annoyed at how MegaMan's story powerlevel kept getting reset?
At the end of MMBN1, he's synchronized with Lan essentially tremendously boosting his power and reaction speed.
In MMBN2, he apparently can't even beat ShadowMan without a power-up. This power-up greatly expands his versatility and overall power.
In MMBN3, I guess it's fine since it's the first time he meets Bass who's supposed to be the strongest Navi ever. He beats Alpha and saves the internet.
But then in MMBN4, he can't even beat fucking ShadeMan without using a Dark Chip.
And in MMBN5, he apparently needs an entire team to help him beat Navis that he should be able to take down entirely on his own. He's beaten multiple criminal organizations, defeated the LifeVirus, Gospel, Bass, Alpha and an alien and you're telling me he can't get past a fucking gate or some shitty turrets? Considering regular chips didn't work on ShadeMan it's fine. The only way to defeat him was fighting dark vs dark or using Light chips like Gun del Sol.
In BN5 fighting against a bunch of enemies and also fighting Darkloids was too much for just one navi, remember they have fucking holes generating constant viruses and darkloids so is not that farfetched, also is not like Megaman could pass through clouds, dark barriers or some other shit.
In BN6 MegaMan's power is not reset at all, heck, when it gets a Cybeast everybody is fucking scared of MegaMan.
