Also the bubble is long cooldown but works both inwards and outwards. You can bubble a Dva mech nuke inside of the bubble and running outside the bubble will protect you. Same with reaper ult.

I've actually gotten POTG with him a few times, but he's either feast or famine. If you have a good healer who's willing to stay near you, and a team that sticks together and either finishes off enemies you harass/weaken or softens up reds for you to zap to death, he's amazing. He's so much more mobile than Reinhardt, and his gun is great on soft, fast targets like Tracer and Genji.
But those are a lot of ifs, and if you're like me and just playing pugs, you're lucky to even find people who are willing to stand behind Reinhardt's sheild.

His mobility helps close in, but it's also a good escape when things go shit. I've run in before, zapped, and as soon as people turn around I bubble and fly away. By then, a flank is set up and the bubble keeps them from shooting out briefly
What I do with Winston:

You can kill anyone squishy before the enemy can react if you land you jump/punch/shoot combo, and you'll almost always have the health to survive until your cooldown ends and you can jump to safety.

Since the shield doesn't keep momentum, you can cancel plenty of threats with it by jumping over them. D.Va's explosion is effortless to neutralize. While High Noons, Molten Cores, DIEDIEDIE, and JUSTAUG can break through it, dropping the shield over it is going to buy a second for your team to back away (or fully absorb some of the High Noon bullets/make Pharah kill herself if she did it close to ground level). In short, if the damage source is slow, you can waste the ult completely.

If you don't make the mistake of trying to beat someone to death, your ult (which heals you when used) gives you the ability to stall a capture for 12 seconds. If they've got less than 4 people there, you can break the push completely without being at risk of death.

Good D. Va players are still able to put out decent damage on headshots. Still don't know how this D. Va got away with passing right through Mei's ult though.
My best game with Winston I joined a team getting steamrolled on Anubis and turned the game around almost singlehandedly. I'd go out to harass the attackers and fuck their Mercy/Widow then jump back to the point for healing or to wreck the dumbass Tracer who kept trying to sneak in. Was pretty fun.
Winston is a monster on KoTH maps. The disruption he causes is incredibly helpful to a focused team.
Jump past tanks, land on squishies, drop barrier on top of them, run around moshing, jump either to safety or onto survivors.
When your ult is ready, jump in and mosh until 150ish HP and then trigger ult to top off at 1000 and start throwing bitches around (Nepal, Ilios and LiJiang allow for insane amounts of enviro kills if you herd your enemies correctly.)
He also bypasses barriers and deflects with every attack he possesses.
Downside is, yeah, hes conventionally a weak duelist versus most enemies. So hes more of a party grenade your team throws in before they storm a room.

Winston is not to be underestimated, he can mess up squishy heroes pretty bad. He can even mess with a flying Pharah. He can jump away from danger, towards opponents and protect his team with the barrier, even though it's not as high as Reinhardts, but it's spherical which is very useful.
Not to mention he is funny as hell, it's hilarious to shock enemies with his gun, they always sperge out.

Aim the bomb and combo them with the laser, dont overextend and try to use many shields you can, ult is really slow to charge but really good.

You don't, but shielding him allows him to be more aggressive with his fire strikes and charges and even hammer swings, and you get damage boosts for it. An aggressive Reinhardt in the right hands can be fucking terrifying and you can make it happen.
But therein lies the main issue with Zarya: if the team is playing too passively she's almost useless.

Furious George takes a pretty big shit on Hanzos, Widows, and, if the enemy team is bad enough to not defend their healers, Mercy and Zen.
His high jump will let him close distances between supports and snipers, and I usually pop the barrier on the Payload, on top of Torb's turret, a Bastion or 76's Biotic field. My team likes me for this.
If you're good and the map has pits, push them in with your Ult. It's also great for healing, having TONS of mobility, and general distracting/panic the enemy team. I don't go for kills when enraged though. I just haven't gotten the hang of it. (Though I often push people into pits if I can.)
In short, harass enemy squishies, shield friendly encampments.

Hes a cool concept but his whole kit is fucked. His jump makes him effective at taking out squishier targets for which he has enough damage output but for he struggles with anyone else putting him at a disadvantage against other tanks. His shield would be alright if the cd was shorter but it would also be too overpowered in certain game modes. His ult is good for disrupting the enemy team or getting people off an objective but thats about it meaning it's use is very situational and limited.

Damn I wish I had that. Play solo only, even when I'm doing really well myself, and even when my team wins I still get pretty irritated over shit. I have found random players are usually complete retards. i can't even count the number of times we've been in overtime and the stupid fucks waste time trying to pick off enemy defences rather than getting on the fucking point to keep overtime going. Similarly theres been a few times I've wiped out most of the enemy (or at least the ones on the point) but died in the process, and nobody goes to take the point.And the worst is when people think they can just kill the enemy on escort missions, like they dont even realise if we dont push back the payload when it's clear then it's right where the enemy left it when they come back.

I don't play black characters.
Despite mediocre DPS, Winston is actually crazy good. Jump pack is probably the best mobility special in the entire game and bubble shield allows him to create a zoning situation where you have to either retreat or approach him. If the enemy team's DPS is dead or dicking around, he essentially gets to kill supports for free. Primal Rage is also very helpful since it doubles as a survival tool along with a way to break hold setups during stalemates.
Winston is a disruptor, NOT a fragger. You cannot take on actual DPS classes like McCree, Tracer, or 76 one-on-one, and trying to take a fight with Reaper is suicide.

Mei is only good at stalling cap on defense due to Cryofreeze allowing her to block point/payload, which is fucking retarded.
Pharah is used extremely often in one-hero limit (which seems to be the direction the competitive metagame is going) and goes fairly even with McCree in damage, despite how Widow-centric the meta is right now.
Reaper has seen significantly more use in one-hero limit and replaces the second McCree quite often.
Zenyatta is crazy situational and Winston and Widowmaker makes his life a living hell.
