From couldn't design an enemy that was actually tough for the area, so they had to resort to actually breaking the 4th wall and having them alter the game itself in their favor.
They're super fucking easy if you can get the jump on them, and provided that you aren't a complete idiot you can kill them in three hits even if they spot you first. It's just bullshit how they had to break every rule they've established so far in the franchise and throw the immersion out the window just to make them seem like a tough enemy (aka, the exact definition of Artificial Difficulty)

honestly they aren't that hard, unless you're a caster or something. Their HP is super low so you can usually take them out in a few swings. They just seem tough given the circumstances that they're introduced.
