NMC covers some things Ojo doesn't and vice versa. Just install NMC Large (or Medium), then NMC Washed Out (override all NMC files), then download Ojo and drop the various folders of the textures you choose into NV's data folder and let them override everything. Do this with all Ojo files except Environment, keep NMC/NMC Washed Out's landscape textures.

I don't know. Maybe I just prefer Zion Canyon to the Divide, even though the Divide is really fucking cool and feels like what FO3 was trying to be.
But I also like the dynamic between characters in HH. In LR the only characters of note were Ulysses and the player (and ED-E, I guess). In HH you've at least got a lot of interesting people to talk to. Although, I have to concede the quest point. LR gave me a reason to keep going, while HH just said "do this" and I did it because I couldn't just leave.

There's no difficulty. I can't bring companions because they kill everything before I get there. And any enemy that is too "tough" will just charge you blindly so there is no winning from tactics-- It will just run and attack until you die. UNLESS you stand on a rock and immediately break it's AI.
I just can't enjoy any of the gameplay. I'm not blaming Obsidian. They worked wonders with what they had. I just wish I could enjoy the game.

That's literally the point though. Ulysses is the anti-courier. He's meant to challenge the player ideologically and make them consider the faction that they've aligned themselves with and emphasize the importance of player actions.
ED-E is the grounding of the old world. He's Enclave tech, but he represents the old world idealism that was twisted and killed the fallout universe the first time, and it's through the sacrifice of that idealism and ignorance, and by confronting the challenges to their ideology that the courier is able to stop Ulysses from bombing the Mojave.

It's not actually that good of a pistol. It has less base damage than Light in Darkness. Lucky is only good for it's JHP ammo (reliant on a perk) and the fact that you can get it early (assuming you specced for lockpicking). That Gun has the same critical hit chance, same damage, lets you use AP 5.56mm and can be gotten with lower lockpicking skill.
The best pistol overall is the Ranger Segola. It has FIVE TIMES the accuracy of Light in Darkness and does 90% more base and critical damage.

Underground Hideout: New Vegas is a great player home. Collected Editions and Magazine Exchange can be super overpowered, given that you can use them to convert any magazine into any other magazine and then combine like 5 of them into a skill point-granting book.

I just finished Dead Money and that's not at al what I meant. if you're so dumb you get your ass locked in there I don't see why you would be playing NV at all.
