Find a flaw.
I just want to have a thread about good vidya, I know it's current-season and e3 so I'm not expecting many replies
>>
Combat in general fails to keep up around midgame which is a shame because it starts really promising
>>
I like this game, it had time travel mechanics that weren't completely nonsensical. Combat was pretty unique and fun.
>>
>>341353056
Stocke's design, too many belts.
I actually like it, but the belts are
more than overkill (and the design would pretty much be identical without them).
>>
>>341353056

Can't set fire to grass
Can't throw boulders far away
Map not big enough
>>
The one on PS2 was better.
>>
>>341354574
belts are a euphemism for dick size
>>
>>341353056
Traps were overpowered, there were an annoying number of implausible instant-death options when you have to make a big choice, and some of the cast was pretty cliche.
That being said, I still loved it. The grid combat was interesting, chaining combos was fun, and I ended up really digging the storyline. The villain was my favorite from any recent vidya I've played.

>Find a flaw.
Including this in an OP is an efficient way to prevent intelligent discussion, so I seriously doubt you really want to have a thread about good vidya.

Certainly one of the best JRPG on the DS alongside TWEWY, HGSS and Strange Journey.

Good story, clever time travel gimmick, interesting combat system which is a refined version of FFX's.

Would replay it on a newer system since my pirated DS is broken.
>>
Combat is too easy and hardest bosses in the game don't use any of the unique mechanics game has.
Aht is an annoying little shit.
>>
>>341353056
Not enough copies produced. Its pretty expensive now.
>>
>>341357221
Seriously? How much do they cost?

Can't we talk about what makes it good instead?

>I told a girl to help me in some generic brawl and she sacrificed her own life hahaha the absolute madman
>>
not enough Raynie fanart
>>
Made the best character literally useless during the final battle.
>>
>>341353056
No variations on character sprites got a little bit jarring after a while.

By the end I found the combat really tedious.
>>
The game has some party availability problems.

>Princess what's-her-name is unavailable for a large portion of the lategame.
>Then you get her back before the final boss and she's super behind in levels.
>>
>>341357632
honestly I don't remember a lot about this game, I was thinking of replaying it but made a thread instead because it's sorta the same thing but takes less effort
>>
Stocke's portrait look like he wants to go home
>>
>>341358621
I would want to go home too if I had to deal with time traveling bullshit and saving the world.

>>341358621
>"Man, I wish I was in that alternate timeline fucking Raynie right about now."

Some sidequests give you a bad ending.

yeah but he had it since the start
>>
>>341358697
>could literally commit every crime in the book and undo it with time travel fuckery
>wants to go home instead
this guy
>>
>>341356857
I'd argue that it's one of the best JRPGs in general, which probably isn't saying much since they're usually either bog-standard medieval fantasies with cardboard cutout characters or they're angst-filled, teen-centric soap operas.
>>
>>341353056
Aht didn't win.
>>
Heiss did nothing wrong.
>>
>>341353056
>Party members shuffle in and out but keep their levels making some members basically useless later on unless you wanna grind. Meanwhile Stocke is always in your party since he's the MC so he ends up ahead of everyone
>Traps are OP as fuck and game in general is pretty easy
>Time mechanics are neat but boil down to "go down one path until you hit a dead end, then go down the other" and most choices just lead to a bad end or progress
Still a fantastic game; the combat system is really fun, the story is good, and the music is great

Very few if any. One of my favourite games and probably the best jrpg since it came out.

I enjoyed so many parts of this game, but the combat got so damn tedious towards the end,. I never finished it, which is a shame, and I'll never replay it 'cus the combat. Still rate it pretty damn high on the ds

Fair. I just think I would start taking it for granted. Like Marco would fuck up in battle so I'd just kill him out of frustration before turning back time. But this time it doesn't work and I've just murdered a good friend.
>>
>>341353056
The stupid as fuck plot twist.
And really just the second half of the game.
Combat devolves into spamming traps and magic.
>>
>>341363895
I used roche and the DBZ monkey because I thought they were cool. Combat stayed fun throughout.
