In reality though she just wants to keep her friends, and cares about nothing else. We learn this half way through, and have to stop her at all costs. During the final battle she gives a speech asking Sora if he ever wanted to change how things went for him, and how she has the power to do that. Sora thinks of how he could be back on the Island with Riku, and Kari. He almost does it, but the power of friendship, and being reminding how he would never have met his current friends across all worlds changes his mind. He gives a lesson speech to Aqua about how you have to make the best of what you have, and everything happens for a reason, and not to dwell on the past. Aqua still in nostalgia, and anger doesn't believe him and falls to the darkness. She attacks. Her death dialogue

In her final words Aqua gets flashbacks, and tells Sora he was right, and not make the same mistake she did. As she's fading out she see's Terra and Ven welcoming her into the Light.

I don't believe any of that is true! The only actual complaints I've seen and verified were that the FM bosses in KH2 get harder because some of their mechanics rely on frame rate. They don't become impossible though.
Were the gummi sections really twice as fast? I don't remember them being slow as fuck on PS2. I mean I uncapped the frame rate on top of 60fps to get through the gummi sections even faster so I may as well be playing F-Zero compared to normal players if what you're saying is true.
60fps also affects some of the minigames I think, like the skateboarding one in Traverse Town. But it's still easily doable.

It might, but Xemnas used it as his lie to keep them empty and open to become his clones. A Nobody who's around others and experiencing emotions and feelings and such will begin regrowing a heart until they return to normal. Axel had it happening to him thanks to Roxas.

There were these guys named Idiot, Shota, and Aqua who were basically jedi in training. Aqua was named master and that pissed Idiot off. So Idiot decided to do the opposite of everything his master said. Shota tried to convince Idiot to come home by doing the opposite of everything his master said. And Aqua was sent to bring both Idiot and Shota home and clean up their mess. And after a whole lot of fuckery Idiot kills his master and Shota breaks his heart, literally, to save the world. The broken piece flying off into Sora and I'm not even going to bother going down that rabbit hole. Anyway Idiot after realizing that he fucked everything up gets his body snatched by this old guy named Xehanort. Aqua tries to save her friend only to get dumped into Disney Hell to play Dark Souls IRL for the next 10 years.
With Xehanort having a new, young, tender body to live inside he starts doing a bunch of science experiments the end result being that he's unleashed a horde of Disney's interpretation of demons to run rampant throughout the universe gobbling up every single world they can see and either killing or stranding the inhabitant. And so we get to Sora who gets a friendship mallet to bludgeon said demons with on account that he had the strongest heart at the time. And this has continued on for increasingly convoluted reasons until we get to KH3 which is the end of the Xehanort saga but not necessarily the end of the series because at the end of the day these games just make too much money.

Also WoFF seems to be aimed at a younger audience while making references for older fans so it makes sense the designs here would be more tame.The MC is heavily reminiscent of sora/roxas (looks like he has cuffed up versions of Roxas' pants under the coat) and the World of final fantasy is a game about all the FF worlds being connected somehow.
On top of that the FF characters always appear in KH.
