If the AI sees a glimpse of you, they grab their friends and scour the area. If they see you in full alert, they call reinforcements, move in and flank you with friends. If they see you get in a box, move while in a box, or see you in a box in an area where it wouldn't be expected, they rip the box off. The inflatables are more of a joke item, if you're seen the enemies will attack you and not the dummies.

Even 'This War of Mine' had more convincing stealth and it's not even that kind of game. Metal Gear was always just a weaboo-casual step down from the older splinter cell games before Ubisoft jewed the series into the dirt. Those had actual challenge to them, and actually punished you for getting caught instead of just rewarding you with an excuse to blow an entire company of infantry to pieces on your own.
The game could have at least made it less ridiculous by letting you have a squad of PMC soldiers with you to command, but instead you're a super-soldier able to take on the Russian military on your own without fear of death

MGSV was good, but it seems fairly impossible that the feud between him and Konami would be entirely Konami's doing;and even if you take all that's might be missing out of MGSV, you still have parasites, 12 heavily armored squad missions..., and plethora of missions that seem half baked. Also who's decision was it to open up an entirely new studio in Los Angeles to develop a piss poor MGO?

tl;dr - Kojima prior to PP (Probably PW, really) had the persona of a hardworker who helped create innovative games and was worthy of praise. Hideo during and post PP /seems/ far more concerned with advertising and schemes, deathly afraid that people won't take his art seriously.Either way, he's still a better director than any other personality that we see; I think most just want it to stay that way.

MGSV was overambitious. But with this new game Kojima said he was aiming small and focused to test out the capabilities of the new team.
In other words, this game won't be incredibly long and Kojima will have more of a budget to focus on what's important for the game and will be able to polish it to a mirror sheen.
The parts that he actually finished in MGSV were amazing to I'm excited to see what he'll do.
