First page of the manga is Guts fucking a woman And then cutting her in half when she turns into a demon.
Last scene of the anime before the closer is Guts screaming in absolute white rage as he's forced to watch the rape of Casca after he had chopped off his arm and gouged out his eye trying to break free.

Berserk's not a video game, it's a manga. No video game style can capture it perfectly. Personally, I find Musou more on the spot than DD or the Souls games, but I'd also rather see the Mount&Blade engine used for the Golden Age arc.

Guts was slowly becoming a wild beast with zero remorse of anything or anyone around him. then he remembered he has to protect Casca, which goes against his increasing blood lust. so he subconsciously makes up a 2nd persona, embodied by a wild dog, so his "human" side can keep Casca safe.

While the Musou formula stays the same, Koei tweaks each game in a different direction.
There's no point to being LEL EVEYR GAME = PUSH SQUARE TO WIN faggot unless you acknowledge that every sports/shootan/RPG game is "the same" as the others in its genre. Musou only stands out because it has no competition other than BASARA.
