It's just gonna be two or three Treehouse folks talking to Aonuma, Shiggy, and possibly another producer about their thought process, challenges, and overall vision when developing the game. Then they'll focus more on whatever new mechanics they invented and the insignificant things that inspired them (because that's how most things go for Nintendo games with unique ideas). End it off with a boss and call it a day with a release date.

PC gets so much now, there is very little in the way of exclusives. If shit like FF15 and KH3 show up on NX there is zero reason to get a PS4 for me. I will be doing VR on my PC whenever I decide to get into it.

A new animal crossing was virtually confirmed.
A mobile Animal Crossing was confirmed to come out this autumn.
In addition to that, the mobile animal crossing is supposed to, in some way, interact with a main animal crossing game. We know it's not going to be interacting with New Leaf, so that all but confirms a new main game in the series.
In addition to that, Nintendo made a huge amount of HD assets for that dumb Animal Crossing Plaza on Wii U, which is now shut down. I don't think they'd spent the cash to make all those assets in HD just to have a free to download wii u channel. So there is almost certainly work on a new console Animal Crossing.
I'd guess that the next AC will be on the NX. It's been in development long enough it could be a launch title, potentially. However, the Splatoon devs came from the Animal Crossing team, and Nintendo would be INSANE not to be hard at work making a new Splatoon for the NX.
