Why are there so many late 1920s-early 1930s cars on the road in the 1945 part of the game? And barely any 1940s cars? And then in the 1950s part of the game it's ALL newer 50s and 40s cars with basically no 1930s cars, even late 30s cars which at the time would only be like 15 years old. Is this historically accurate?

Licensing maybe?

To make the times look more different.
Same thing happened in Driver: Parallel Lines

No licensing is necessary in the game, the cars are all fake models like in GTA. I'm just talking about the designs of the cars

I feel like it's mostly that way to create a clear visual difference between the two eras.

1) america was just coming off the depression so their wasnt a hge demand for cars in 1940s
2) most of the resources in america were going towards the war effort
3) during the 1940s/1950s american boom, most people were clamoring for the newest cars possible. Old cars were seen as lower class and americans wanted the newest cars possible
Trash game, forget about it, Mario.

Mafia 2 wasn't bad.

It wasn't that good either.

I liked it a lot. Worth more than one playthrough, familioso.

But here is an actual photo from 1945 America. As you can see most cars are 1940s cars
Just a dumb guess, but maybe everyone was poor as balls in the 1930's/1940's so they could only afford ass shitty cars from the 20s and 30s. But in the 50s everyone was prosperous as balls, so they could afford everything.

Just give it a chance, Mario.
