Well, first of all, I totally understand you use Fedora or any other Linux OS. I use Debian and Ubuntu for work and on my private PC.
But installing a second or third OS isn't that big of a deal and you'll get to play all the Steam games and the XBox games. You just don't have to own a One, it's that simple.
Gaming on Linux is getting slightly bigger in the last couple of years but the Windows libraries just have everything.
I personally don't see a problem with installing W10 for gaming purposes.

Didn't get one at launch because of their shitty policies and what not but once they went back on those picked up the SO bundle. Overall nothing to play. I do like consoles better because with PC you have to do a bunch of shit to get games to work and play multiplayer sometimes, whereas on console it's pretty much ready to go. You can still get physical games used cheaper than even most PC sales, and these games won't be on Steam probably so it's not like they'll benefit from the endless sales.
Otherwise not much reason unless you collect physical games in general. I almost bought an Xbone earlier this year and I'm happy I didn't since the only game I wanted (Scalebound) is gonna be on PC.
if you want a cheap console that will play all the games you bought for pc on a tv at no additional cost, when you dont feel like being on the desktop, if you want to play blurays and 4k movies

I can do multimedia stuff on pretty much any other box, and all the games on it I'd touch besides halo are all on pc, so, they really took all the thunder out for me.
