But the gameplay is actually fun.

Contextualizing resource management with the schemata system had to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in video games.

It's the most contrived thing I have ever seen, it was as if they created gigabytes of art and costumes and needed to forcibly have the player see all them through a pointless game mechanic.

Also LR is terrible.

What are you on about? The schemata system worked great and forced you to come up with decent sets instead of having all abilities at your disposal. You actually had to plan shit out unlike most other FF games.
