If it wasn't for Scorpio, this would have been a pretty terrible conference. Many of the games (e.g. Gears and Scalebound) seemed underwhelming and there were no big software surprises either.
Scorpio being as good as rumored makes it above average but that spec level, it's probably going to be fucking expensive unless it's a big loss leader. You might as well just get a PC.

That's not necessarily true. Precisely because AAA is AAA, making those games is expensive as fuck and finding a publisher ready to back them can be hard. conveniece is different from being braindead. If you have all the parts for a pc at hand its a maximum of 15mins of plugging connectors. After that you only need to install OS. In the case of win10 you just run a windows update to get necessary drivers. Now you are done. Just point out, you won't lose any time while installing/updating as those are done by themselves. If you buy a pre built pc you don't have to do any of that. Besides that there is no configuration, only possibilities.

All these people thinking that less exclusives are a good thing are clearly Ps2 era newfags.
Exclusives, like it or not, have steered market competition in this industry since the NES first debuted. The race to tie down exclusives that pushed each platform's respective hardware is what created the golden age of gaming from the 4th generation to the 6th generation. Exclusives, so to speak, have been the name of the game since the height of the industry.
The more the lines are blurred between platforms, the easier it is for developers to patent out a game that works on everything so they can sell it to as many people as possible and load it down with bullshit post-release, the more homogenized and stale videogames will become. Even more than they are right now. Why do you think practically ALL the multiplats we've had this generation have been underwhelming or just straight up dogshit, but most of the exclusives across all platforms have maintained a sense of integral design and quality control?
Microsoft just went ahead and took that first step beyond the point of no return by eliminating platform exclusivity on their brand, the rest of the industry is likely to follow and from there it gets even worse. Calling it right now.

They've been homogenizing for like 5 years dude. Hell, even the ps3 and 360 didnt have many major exclusive titles. They both had about 200 exclusive titles each, and about 10 of them weren't shovel ware.
