I don't get their marketing. Noones gonna be left to care for a fighting game if they wait any longer. Their marketing strategy was beyond retarded, noone even cares at the moment. Tekken fans seem to be disappointed in the mechanics/characters already and Akuma won't draw in enough SF fans to revive Tekken. They should release it far sooner or just drop it altogether. I play pretty much every other fighter. The only ones I forgot to include are Mortal Kombat X and Killer Instinct. Marvel too, but it's been a while since I've played UMvC3.
I also don't hate SF, but SFV has been nothing but disappointing. Capcom has some serious shit to fix with it. And it's STILL suffering from server issues.

Wrong mentality imo, just pick whoever appeals to you the most. Most Tekken characters play similarly anyways but are different from frame advantage and limb lengths. What you should be focused on is learning movement. There's a ton of tutorials on Youtube and it's not exactly as easy as Soul Calibur movement, but when you get that down, you can pretty much play any character you want at a decently competitive level.
