How big is your TV/Monitor? What's the optimal size?
>>
>>341031824
42 is the smallest I'd want to go.

I have a wall mounted 55.

But it totally depends on your space and the distance from the TV.

>>341031824
>optimal size

Personal preference.

how's the latency?
I got a fucking Philips 50 inches 4k and it sucks

it's bugged as hell, it crashes incredibly often and it has a fuckton of latency. Music games are literally impossible to play.

Never buy a Philips smart tv
>>
34" inch monitor here
>>
55
It's very comfy shitposting with big screen
>>
>>341032196
Its fine, it's like a 5 year old Vizio from Costco.

I don't think Vizio is a good TV brand to buy. I think the Sharp Aquos line is actually really good (my old TV was a 42 sharp) but I haven't bought or even looked at TV's in so long.

I will say that my vizio is really dark, so I often have to turn up the brightness on games and play with the lights off.
>>
>>341031824
never play games on a tv, monitors are vastly superior.
>>
I've got three 24" monitors (vertical-horizontal-vertical since I'm a graphic/Web designer and programmer on the side, the vertical space is super helpful) but I've also got a 42" TV for consoles. It entirely depends on where I sit, I prefer up close so my monitors feel like a perfect size. The TV is okay, it doesn't have any noticeable latency as far as I can tell and the size is good for where I sit.
>>

42 minimum for tv. As someone who owns a Dell 27inch & a 42'' 1080p tv, tv all the way. Unless you're playing fps & rts always play on tv. Or you have a big 4k monitor.

24" is fucking perfect for games on monitors
50" or so is good for TV games
For productivity purposes, not vidya, 16:10 monitors are great stuff
>>
I just got a 23" 1080p samsung syncmaster, its pretty good
>>
What the fuck is up with that monitor bezel?
>>
28 inch FHD monitor
>>
>tv
55" 1080p 120hz
>monitors
2x 24" 1080p 144hz

It's perfect
>>
>>341031824
27" 1440p 144hz

Anything less is literally shit.
>>
>>341031824
2x benq 27"
>>
>>341031824
24"
>>

Apple :^)
>>
I have a 50" curved TV.

I don't understand how can people tolerate anything smaller than 40" for vidya. And these niggers with tiny tiny 20" monitors are absolute peasants.
>>
>>341033502
>16:10

This shit right here, I just wish I could get my xbone to not stretch when I plug that nigga ib
>>
>>341031989
Don't /thread yourself you dumb slimy cunt
>>
>>341034706

>fell for the curved meme

I'd take a 20 inch over a curved any day of the week. At least more than one person can enjoy a 20 inch screen, compared to your 50 inch.
>>
>>341031824
>tv
Minimum of 40"
>Monitor
24 works, but 27 is the best choice
>>
>>341031824

>little input lag over a lot of input lag

Gee, I wonder which I should pick Opie?
>>
I use a Samsung 48" 4K tv. No noticable latency while in "Game Mode".
>>
monitors are only good for online fighting games where input lag has meaning and consequences. It's useless otherwise.

If you want to play beautiful open worlds, monitors have limited picture options, TV having vastly superior picture quality and customizability.

And 144Hz and 120 Hz has no meaning if you game runs at 60fps.
>>
>>341034706
>50"
Means shit.

I lost count the amount of times I went to someones house and they have a 40-60" tv that was 1080p.
>>
Depends on distance.

Sub 20' is laptop tier though
>>
>>341035119
The best TVs have little input lag, the difference from a benq monitor is like 7ms. Only a small percentage of people can notice that, you aren't one of them. And I'd be you money that you play games that have lots of input lag by default. Fuckboi.
>>
>>341031824
A 27" monitor which from a viewing distance of two feet occupies a greater area of my field of view than a 50" screen would from across an entire room. It also boasts objectively better specifications including higher PPI and refresh rate, IPS panel, and QHD resolution.

Monitor > TV

48" 4k samsung tv
2x 25" 1440p monitors.

Both are fine for gaming, but I would never use a tv for a computer screen.

24" 1920x1200 sPVA monitor
42" 1920x1080 IPS TV
The TV is at my feet when I'm in bed, so I don't need a bigger one.
The only problem is both have high input latency and aren't really the best choice for gaming, but I can't argue with the picture quality.
>>
>>341035568

When I was younger (10 years ago) one of my friends had an 80" TV.......... that was 720p. I have no idea what fortune they spent on that thing, but everything looked like absolute shit with pixels that were so big you could nearly see them with your naked eye.
>>
If no ones looking I project my game onto the fullmoon.

That's 1,3685e+8" you fucking plebs. Go big or go home.

Vidya on PC, 27 inch 144hz
Vidya on console, literally any 55-60 inch wallmounted television with minimal ghosting and none of that bullshit "200hz" refresh rate where it makes everything look super fucking blurry.

60" Samsung 1080p 240Hz and 24" monitor I don't remember the brand. I want a 32" high refresh monitor though. I currently have the desktop connected to the 60" in the living room though.

Monitor depends on resolution.
For 1080p I say 24"
For 2k and over 27"
Tv fuck who knows.
>>
>>341034706
i do the vast majority of my gaming on a 19" CRT. have fun with your shitty modern games and input lag, faggot.
