I love both of them but Eggman has only been an awful character in one game total. You can't say that for any other Sonic character

Every Robotnik is pretty much the best Robotnik, whether he's a manic rubbery screaming spazz, or Doctor Claw, or a SUSPICIOUSLY fast spherical man, or a dude with the world's best sandwich, or the same dumb asshole meddling with powers beyond his control so often even HE starts lampshading it and even using that perception as part of his plans. It's great.
Nothing against Wily either, although his descent into 'psychotic grudge that eventually destroys human life as we know it long after his death' is a bit sadder.
Either way I think it can be agreed the fucking crossovers are great. Sassy assholes complimenting each other on their backstabbing while desperately trying to unfuck things, it's great.
Wily is a winy shit who begs for forgiveness every game.

Unite had a shitload of executive meddling and was part of the reason why Archie MM got canned.
