Dev days is exactly that. It's a conference for DEVELOPERS. Some small information about valve's upcoming stuff shows up there but really only it's an excuse to show off what cool things they've been doing with Source 2 or VR, for which they mainly use TF2, Dota 2 or Portal assets.

Interesting stuff but not for the average gamer.
