It's like they realise they are making an arcadey shooter instead of a super serious war sim.

COD had its own style before, and this isnt it. Sci-fi/arcade shooters are fun, but why would anyone want that sort of gameplay from a series with different roots? If I wanna play a sci-fi shooter, then I play games like Mass Effect, Halo, Titanfall, etc.

It's a pre-rendered cutscene of Halo but without the neat aliens. Anime music alone won't save it, you're going to have to throw in a highschool setting and a tsundere love interest at the least.
