1.Leveling is completely fucked thanks to the fact that enemies scale. I hope you didn't spend some time doing non-combat stuff because guess what faggot, the enemies have been spending that time you were learning alchemy doing squats and now they'll blow your fucking head off.
2. Graphics are horrible, animations are worse. Nothing but mildly modified gamebyro, complete with teleporting doors, weightless combat and characters that look like rubber sex dolls.
3. Skills gimped, rpg elements toned down, everything streamlined.
4. story is boring, generic and often makes no sense. Last boss is just a reskinned dragon enemy you can kill in a few hits.
5. Game world is derivative and nothing special. Lack luster presentation ruins any sense of immersion, towns are stupidly small, with even capital cities having a dozen odd buildings.

As it stands with no information, yes, completely pointless. However, it's possible that they could have tweaked the engine to change one VERY important aspect. Originally Skyrim's physics engine was tied to FPS. Removing this and making physics act normally at all times would mean you could play Skyrim above 60 fps and no weird physics shit would happen when your FPS jumped around.

Honestly playing Skyrim there's definitely times you run up against an enemy that's just crazy overpowered. I might be be able to fight a room of Adept Necromancers or whatever but the second a single Master Necromancer shows up I can expect to get my shit pushed in immediately. Normal enemies shouldn't give you trouble, but at a certain point the "boss" level enemies are just retarded strong and almost impossible to beat on Master or Legendary difficulty.

Pretty excited about this really, I've been wanting to play Skyrim for about 4 months now but didn't want to play it on PS3 since I have a PS4, I tweeted Bethesda and asked if they had plans for a remastered version, they never got back to me.
Which makes sense because e3 is the venue for that kind of information.
I was also hoping for The Elder Scrolls 6, there hasn't been an Elder Scrolls game since SKyrim, released at the end of 2011 so it's been a while.

There is several mods to do that. The best would be Timing is Everything.
You can straight up shut off story, side, and daedric quest, and turn off dragon show up timers, turn off dlc quest. You can pretty much adjust the level and time at which all of this shit will show up or set to never at all.

If they have the base game and have all the dlc on bought, or have the legendary edition.
It also brings a mandatory upgrade that was needed on the original. Since it's going on the PS4 and XboxOne, it will be guaranteed to be 64 bit and use more then 4gb of vram easily running Dx11 instead of 9 and having a 3.2 limitation before CTD. Unless of course they botch the whole thing and make a 30 fps locked edition do little to no work and tweak the settings to game jam sessions. Then they can push it to next gen consoles with ease by doing no work.
On consoles it means free sales before this gen dies the worst death out of any console season by wasting away it's life span.
On PC it can mean much more mod management, better mods, higher quality mods, and better resource management by a long term. Basically adding time to the wait on TES 6 which will probably end up in 2018-2020 seasons after this generation has come to a close with consoles and the next generation is starting to line up. It would also put them at working demo lines having the 7-8 year development time gap from Skyrim's original release.
This tuned up remake is basically a sales generator for the next generation of consoles. It just means better modding for PC if the console faggots don't run off all the modders with "wah it's not working on my console even though you said PC only."
Who the fuck knows if TES 6 will be any good. Even with today's mod set up there are severe limits that modders have come with tricks to get around. It can only go so far and shit begins to break down usually first thing to go to shit is script heavy mods like survival shit that loops begins to lag or break. Necromancers are particularly bad because they tend to use ice spells. One hit means your movement slows to a crawl, which makes it all the more likely you'll get hit again, and again, and never break the cycle before you get killed. I don't remember ice spells slowing enemies down that much when I used them.
