I think Kirby's Dreamland 1 on extra is considered the hardest, at least, of the mainline games. The spinoffs in the 4th generation were probably the hardest Kirby games ever.
It might be actually, forgot how many times Zero killed me my first time playing until now.
If you never did a perfect run of the boss butch, you don't know shit about Kirby.

I think that's an understatement, its a superior mechanic to hypernova and blends really well with regular gameplay

I feel there was still plenty of original stuff or interesting takes on the old, regardless, Triple Deluxe was as original as it gets when it comes to bosses. Planet Robobot just went with a more referential route, and they're successful and "get away with it" because they're still really fucking good bosses and moments

Nova comes back as the final boss. It's either him or a secondary Nova which are hinted to be in existence but more than likely the former.
Kirby fuses with the Halberd and you fight Nova.
In the True Arena, after defeating it normally Nova instead eats you where you have to fight it's core like in Milky Way Wishes except you're on foot instead of on the star.
