This game is alright. Don't know why people are overhyping the fuck out of this though. People talk about how they can't sleep because of how awesome this game is. A FPS/character shooter with a handful of maps and 3 game modes. It severely needs inspiration injected into the game modes.

OverWatch IS the new Baby's First FPS.
The hit boxes are large.
Most abilities cover wide ranges, voiding them of skill.
The team comp barely matters unless it's defense or offense.
It's the new thing for MOBA fans to latch onto because the MOBA genre has died. People are tired of it so they look for a "fresh and new" take on something they never thought was stale in the first place.
The game itself isn't inherently bad, it has a colorful cast with witty remarks. It has it's own story, despite no one caring about it.
OverWatch in all regards really is just the NEW thing to latch onto until something else catches their interest. I've even seen people say this game has high replayability and replay value despite the lackluster maps. It's because they can't think of anything better to play at the moment.
Blizzard has their audience. The people who really don't care about criticizing something they paid for.

Only a quarter of the time. Every other match is a "Reinhardt and Bastion ruin another chokepoint" objective, or a "3 friendly heavies give sandwiches to the opposing team who slaughters them" map, or a "bunch of people looking at Widowmaker's viewmodel while being AFK" moment. Im new to the conversation (meaning im not the one you are arguing with), its was my first post. dunno how good I am at it. I mean I used to play it back then, I still play Quake 3 Arena every now and then, I dont play at the competitive level where Im counting every second for the armor to appear like that cause, truth be told I play lots of games.
my main genre is fighting games, problem is anon that you think that the game relies on the kills, and that is not the case, Overwatch is about objectives, the objective is waht matters, sometimes I play Mercy and I dont get a single kill, but healing team mates and knowing when to revive, when to hold it, when to follow someone on the attack or when to stay back and give orders is important. much like any team based game, but you apparently focus to much on getting kills, which is nice and all, but while truth is, it is easy to get kills, its the same thing for the enemies, so you have to take that into acccount.
anyway, I think games like TF2, Dirty Bomb and Overwatch can peacefully cojhexist. its not like we have tons of those types of games, as opposed to the hundreds of team deathmatch games.

for example, I reinstall WoT every so often, I also do it with TF2.
