Doing the campaign I can manage 40-60fps depending on how much shit is happening.
On MP I only ever get higher than 20fps if the server is completely empty.

Arma 3 has never run even close to this on my 970+4670k and I use the ultra settings.
Given the fact that this channel is for pumping out dozens of benchmarks for dozens of different videogames every week, something tells me the guy who did this went into the settings menu and started cranking up everything to max and he thought it would be fine to set the render distance to max which you seriously aren't supposed to do.

With a gtx970 and an i7-4790 @3.6 Ghz, all settings on high with 2k object drawdistance I get roughly 100 FPS on Altis, 60 FPS in the main city Kavala.
On Tanoa I get roughly 70-60 FPS in most situations, 40-50 FPS in Georgetown, the biggest city.
So performance is not as good as expected, but not nearly as terrible as I thought it would be considering how dense all the foliage is.
Turning down the object drawdistance to 1.4km gives me 10 FPS in all situations and it isn't that noticeable considering how dense and mountainous the terrain is.

Thanks. I like DayZ, so I'd want to play mods that give a similar survival sort of experience, but I enjoyed ARMA 2's single player stuff and messing around with the editor.
I enjoyed the SP enough in ARMA 3 although the whole future thing I didn't care for. Right now I'm usually going around in either KOTH and Wasteland, which is OK, but it seems like I'm not playing to the games full potential which is why I'm interested in trying out some groups or something and getting more into mods.

I can't wait, ARMA 3 is fun, but the two original maps are too same-y (given they both take place in the same region), and the community maps are okay at best, I want a proper jungle map to do some great scenarios on. I ended up being my gaming group's go-to Zeus because of how well I can manage campaigns and create great scenarios.
Can't wait to have them investigate a downed aircraft in the middle of the jungle at night while OpFor is creepin round.
