He's a character purely for luck builds, but specifically with more emphasis on item use than anything else.
Nameless Rank and File Soldier's base-stats and leveling aren't much, BUT the guy never gets crit-hitted, he has a crazy-high percent chance to crit, and as a bonus, the number of 'luck' events you suddenly finding yourself hitting outside of combat goes fucking crazy. Seriously, you'll be tripping over herbs you find in every field, ores and minerals in every mine, and gold/items you find in towns (though I hear they're going to patch that last bit next update, but still.)
It's actually a pretty good trade-off if you know how to use it (a.k.a. actually fucking using the reagents instead of selling them you dumbass,) considering he has almost no special attacks like other champions have to offer, but it means you start dragging if you're relying on him as either a tank or damage-dealer going into mid-game, especially against, say, enemies with damage reduction, or intangible ghosts. Protip: pair him with this motherfucker and you are officially on ez mode. You'll have revival pots, curing salves, and Alchemist's Fire overflowing out of your pack by the end-boss.
